Re-upholstery
Some furniture needs more than just new fabric. Re-upholstery involves stripping back the chair and adding new padding. Which fillings and techniques are used depends on the age, design and construction of the piece of furniture.

Nadya worked really hard to transform our very tatty kitchen chairs into things of beauty covered in bright pink velvet!. The curved backs were a real challenge. White Barn Upholstery was founded by Nadya Webster. After a long career in journalism and PR, Nadya retrained to become an upholsterer, gaining a Diploma in Upholstery from the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF). She has been trained in traditional and modern upholstery techniques and her workshop is in her home in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire.
